Lets se if I can do this and keep this up. So I am really bad at writing and blogging. i think I try this all the time and fail. Well lets hope this one works.
Let me introduce myself. I am Danielle and usually go by Elle for short. I am 26 years old. Just got my associates in science and am expecting a baby on the way. Yeah crazy right.
My story begins a couple months ago, maybe 5-6 to be exact. I was talking to my boyfriend about one day getting married and having kids. I asked if he would want his kids to grow up christian and going to church like he did. His family was super christian and well me.... my parents really didn't grow up with anything. My mother had a Jewish father and a catholic mother so they didn't really agree with much when it came to religion. So back to my story, he said yeah he would love the kid to grow up like that if I felt comfortable. So I went to church with his cousin. As soon as like 3 weeks hit I felt it was the right thing to do. I also found out that I was pregnant a month later. My apps all tell me Sunday is the start of my new pregnancy week and I must have gotten pregnant like the day I went to church.
Such weird timing.
I haven't gone to church as much as I want but still read my bible and do devotions and strive to build and everlasting bond with god.
The reason I picked Give Elle Serenity for this blog is because
1) my life is hectic and I have anxiety and it all seems like poop.
2) I was planing on names and the girl name I was Serenity. I prayed and prayed that I would have my little girl. I went to visit my mom before I knew the gender and she had a Serenity prayer right next to my grandfathers memorial. Remind you she is not the religious type. She has had that for 3 years and I never knew and she didn't know what I wanted to name my daughter. We finally found out the gender and it is a girl. So her name has been decided on. Serenity it is.
3) God is giving my Serenity in both the form of my child to be and finding me peace in my life.
I want This blog to be about my journey with God and becoming a mother. I craft a lot and love fashion so some of that might come in to. I hope you enjoy.
